Part 1:the moments of my breakthrough, Dr. Florence Martin, Professor at North Carolina State University, USA, The first AECT Fellows in 2023
This time, I interviewed Dr. Florence Martin of North Carolina State University about the challenges she overcame in her 20s and 30s.
She has more than 125 publications. Originally from India, she speaks English very fluently, like a native speaker. However, she shared her experience of how she gradually developed the skills and confidence to write academic papers..
She also talked about how she makes the most of her limited time. She starts work at 8:00 a.m. and focuses on tasks that require deep thinking in the morning. In the afternoon, she shifts to lighter tasks, and she leaves the office by 5:00 p.m. From her story, I felt that the keys to balancing work and family life are “focus” and “prioritization.”
